Collecting Concrete

Sometimes the best solution for small quantities of concrete could be collecting from one of our strategically located concrete batching plants.

Most concretes can be collected in quantities of 0.4m3 upwards, however it is important to note that concrete weighs around 2.2 tonnes per m3 and is dropped from a height of about 10 feet.It is your responsiblility to ensure your vehicle is suitable to carry the weight of the load. The ideal vehicles for collections are: small tipper lorries, tractors and trailers or pickup trucks.

In some circumstances concrete can be loaded into either a truck mixer or loading shovel before discharging into your trailer/pickup, (please contact us to discuss your requirements).

Ready mixed concrete has a shelf life of around 2 hours from time of batching and this should be considered when collecting concrete.

Small stone i.e. 10mm can help when handling and laying small quantities.

Collected concrete is a cost efficient way of using small quantities of concrete and is ideal for fence posts and small pathways. It saves on time against more traditional methods of site mixing.
